Mission of the Month for August: Community Emergency Service
Community Emergency Service (CES) is a non-profit crisis relief and
empowerment ministry serving the Phillips (Ventura Village) neigh-
borhood. CES provides services to almost 20,000 people each year
including low income households, single parent families, elderly,
mentally or emotionally handicapped persons, as well as recent
immigrant groups. Through prayer support, direct aid relief, advocacy,
referral and guidance, CES seeks to strengthen families and individuals.
